Laser in research and daily practice
The author presents a comprehension of scientific and clinical experience with Er:YAG and Er, Cr:YSGG lasers as well as diode laser.
The following topics will be discussed:
1. Preparation of hard dental tissue, laser etching.
2. Laser in endodontics
3. Using of Er, Cr:YSGG laser simoultanesly on hard and soft tissues.
4. Lasers in periodontology (Er,Cr:YSGG and diode laser)
5. Lasers in oral surgery (Er,Cr:YSGG and diode laser)
Doc. MUDr. Lenka Roubalíková, Ph.D.
Graduated from the Medical Faculty of the J. E. Purkyně University in Brno in Dental Studies in 1980, then worked as a district dentist, an expert assistant at ILF in Prague, the head of IDV PZ and the deputy head of the Dental Clinic, St Anne's University Hospital in Brno. Lenka Roubalíková presently works as an associate professor at the Medical Faculty, Masaryk University, in Brno and has her own dental private practice.
She has finished her Phase I and II Dentistry Postgraduate Studies and supplementary teacher training at the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University, in Brno. She has also finished her doctoral studies at the Palacký University in Olomouc and has then defended her habilitation thesis entitled "Composite Materials in Front Teeth Aesthetics" at the Medical Faculty, Masaryk University, in Brno. She has participated in writing 60 publications in extenso, of which 48 were published with Lenka Roubalíková as the main author; in total, she has written 126 articles and papers. She has delivered over 100 lectures both at home and abroad. She also works as the scientific secretary of the Czech Endodontic Society, is a member of the Doctoral Board of the Medical Faculties in Olomouc and in Brno, as well as a member of the Doctoral Board of the FRVŠ (Higher Education Development Fund). She has attended several internships and courses abroad, is the holder of various certificates that give her the possibility to lead courses in Endodontics and Aesthetic Dentistry. She has received the Dental Progress Award three times. She is active both as a general dentist and as a university teacher, her scientific interest are mainly aimed at endodontics, adhesive materials and miniinvasive treatment techniques including laser treatment. Lenka Roubalíková gives lectures both in the Czech Republic and abroad and is in charge of many professional courses.
