Sinus Lift

Maxillary sinus floor augmentation (also termed sinus lift, sinus graft, sinus augmentation or sinus procedure) is a surgical procedure which aims to increase the amount of bone in the posterior maxilla (upper jaw bone), in the area of premolar and molar teeth, by sacrificing some of the volume of the maxillary sinus.
This course consists of a short theoretical introduction and is then followed by practical mastering of lateral sinus lift technique in pig jaws together with placing two dental implants.
Practical mastering of the lateral approach sinus lift procedure is obligatory for every implantologist and allows the base for other procedures, for example indirect (crestal) techniques in which an osteotome is used in order to manage possible complications.
